Biology and Reading are my passions, and I love to see students get excited about them as well. I have learned that students respond better to strategies that are built around remembering the variety of terms to be memorized. Learning should be fun, and I strive to make each learning experience as fun as it can be. I am an advocate for education and believe a strong education opens up endless doors. I do my best to ensure that my students understand and appreciate this concept as well.My academic background includes earning my Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I minored in Education. I began my teaching career by teaching a variety of Biology classes in a Biotechnology high school. While I was there, I taught Molecular Biology, General Biology, Advanced Placement Biology, and even worked with Special Education students. I also have experience working with preschoolers, teaching them academic and social skills needed for their school days. I have experience helping in Reading with clients that have reading difficulties. Most recently, I have been spending time teaching special needs students. When I am not helping others, you can find me reading, sewing, knitting, and exploring the local trails.
